Research scientist at New Mexico Consortium

Visiting scientist at T-2, LANL

Xiangrong Fu is a research scientist at New Mexico Consortium and a visiting scientist at T-2. Xiangrong’s research focuses on understanding waves, instabilities and turbulence in space and laboratory plasmas, such as chorus waves, EMIC waves, and double layers in Earth’s magnetosphere, Alfven wave parametric instabilities and compressible turbulence in the solar wind. He has been using PIC, hybrid and MHD simulations to study wave generation, particle energization and density fluctuations in space.
